Diocesan Music
Welcome to the music pages of the Diocese of Wrexham Website from Diocesan
Director of Music, Paul Booth.
Croeso cynnes iawn, a very warm welcome, and many thanks for visiting the music pages of our Website. We hope that the content is helpful, and a source of useful information.
Included is a new compositions page containing free scores of settings of the Mass, Psalms and other songs for you to download and use at your celebrations. We just ask that you consider making a gift, however small, via the donate button on the home page. The collection of compositions will grow, so please re-visit as often as you can to see what’s new.
Information about the Diocesan Choir and a section on training and formation of parish musicians is also included on the site, along with dates of training courses, rehearsals and other matters of interest for those with a love of music in the liturgy.
Thanks again for visiting, please do get in touch if you need any further information or help.
Best wishes.
Paul and the Music Team.

Diocesan Choir
This group was formed after the successful experience of the Jubilee Mass held in Llangollen in May 2000. It is composed of volunteer singers from all over the diocese who sing on those occasions when the whole church in North Wales gathers. Generally, there are two fixtures: the Chrism Mass in the spring, and the feast of St Richard Gwyn in October. In addition to assisting the song of the gathered assembly on these occasions, the choir aims to help spread new repertoire to parishes and encourage best practise in sung celebrations throughout the diocese.
Membership in the choir is open to all who love to sing. The rehearsals are currently scheduled in Bangor and Buckley to make it easier for all parts of the diocese to be reached. For detailed information of the schedules and to obtain application forms, please contact the Choir Director
