Coronavirus Firebreaker Lockdown & Church Closures
The First Minister for Wales has announced a Coronavirus Break Lockdown commencing on
Friday 23rd October at 6.00pm and ending on Monday 9th November.
This means that our churches must close during this time with limited exceptions, i.e. to broadcast Mass without a congregation and to conduct Funerals and Weddings.
Under the current arrangements, Funerals and weddings are permitted to take place during the lockdown, but any social gathering is prohibited.
Whilst this news will be very disappointing, in all other regards, we urge communities to do all that they can to comply with these new restrictions.
Holy Mass and other devotions will continue to be live streamed on the following:
Diocesan website www.rcdwxm.org.uk
Diocesan You Tube account – ‘Diocese of Wrexham’
Diocesan face book account @wrexhamdiocese.
