Friday 11th August, 7pm - St Mary the Virgin, Ruabon
On Friday 11th August at 7pm, Bishop Peter will celebrate Holy Mass and the Rite of Candidacy at the church of St Mary the Virgin, Ruabon where he will admit David Tarbrook to Candidacy. David is currently at the end of his first year of formation for the permanent diaconate for the Diocese of Wrexham and is currently a parishioner at the Parish of St Richard Gwyn, which comprises of the Churches of Ruabon, Llangollen and Chirk.
Candidacy is the formal step in the formation towards Holy Orders where the Church formally recognises that the candidate has a call from God to Holy Orders. The transition in formation then moves from one of discernment to preparation for Ordination in two years’ time.
Bishop Peter invites all parishioners from around the Diocese to come and share with David this important step in his formation and asks that you keep him in your prayers and pray that more young men may discern a vocation to the Priesthood and Diaconate.
